The Churchill Point and Doctor's Point are simply excellent when the wind picks up. The Walleye go really deep during summer and early fall. The fish here often feed on crawfish and grow quite big.

The Detroit River can fetch you a Walleye trophy of a lifetime. Catching small Walleyes that weight around 10-20 pounds is very normal and easy in this area. Beginning from the Lake St. Clair and all the way to Lake Erie, there are literally hundreds of spots to fish for Walleyes on this river. The fish here keep moving around in big schools, and what was a hotspot today will become bare tomorrow. In the St. Clair River, the fishing season begins a bit late. This is a great area for anglers because the speed of the current here is quite a bit high. That means a lot of Walleye action.
